As this year is coming to a close, I'm sitting here reflecting.
Realizing I have made a lot of progress on my journey I'm on but I know I still have along way to go. But still I will keep pressing forward and going wherever God leads me. I will not give up on my dreams and my goals. My passion has grew stronger and my Faith will sustain me..God has spoken and I'm Ready!!! So today I'm telling myself this for 2012: Hold your head up, girl. You have so much to be Grateful & Thankful for You are so worthy of all the goodness life has to offer. Don't you let anyone tell you any different Cause they don't know the real Mari the true you. Everyone is not gonna see what God sees in you. So keep Striving!!! You have so much to offer ... And you are well on your way To brighter days and greater day So don't listen to the haters, non factors, irrelevant ppl, they're just talking with nothing really to say. They just wish they could be you like you So keep on stepping girl. Keep on moving forward!!! Keep on doing what you do You're on the right path Doing all the right things. You got your Faith, Your God, Your plan You've got everything you need So take the world by storm And leave all the negativity and negative ppl behind you. You're too blessed to worry Too blessed to stress Plain and simple, you're just blessed So do your thang, girl!! Do Your Thang!!!

Its been almost a year ago since I came up with the conception of SAS. It was merely a thought in my head. But now it is a vision that I see every day. It is something that I hold dear to my heart. It is Me..It is my Purpose.
SAS is still work in progress but I'm moving forward with much enthusiasm and with great expectations for 2012. My hope is to have a community based organization to help young girls and women in any aspect. We are all one, no matter our color, religion or background. And we share a common bond..our sisterhood..our womanhood. As the year is nearing a close, SAS is looking forward to great things in the new year and new endeavors. If you or anyone you know that would love to be apart of a great organization please contact me. This is not a social club this is an nonprofit organization that consist of women that are willing to volunteer their time and services in the community. We all have something to offer whether it be time, talent or just sharing with others. We all have something to give back. And I feel this is much needed in our community. I also want to thank everyone that visits my page and for the comments. It makes what I'm doing so worthwhile. So anyone with ideas or just want to know what SAS is all about call me 766-2729 or email me at [email protected] or send me a message on Facebook. Thank You In Advance, MARI FLOOD This morning I was reading in Genesis about the angels of the Lord and when they told Lot that he and his family must leave the city because it was about to be destroyed. Genesis 19:16-17 reads, "When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. And when they had brought them forth, they said, 'Escape for your life! Do not look behind you or stop anywhere in the whole valley; escape to the mountains [of Moab], lest you be consumed.'"
Genesis 19:26 says, "But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt." I am more than sure if someone told me I had to pick up and leave everything I have, I would do more than hesitate. I can also assume I would probably look back at what was my life as it was about to be destroyed - as Lot's wife did, which resulted in her demise. I began thinking about times when we are tempted to look back or times when God has called us to do something and we are hesitant, whether it be because it might be asking a lot of us, it's uncomfortable, or we just don't think we are capable of even doing whatever it is (like me writing this). I then got to thinking of how many times God has laid it on our hearts to discontinue a relationship, or a job, or a habit, whatever the case may be, I think more often than not, the devil fills our minds with doubts and what ifs. Having us thinking we can't let go of the past and move forward. But God says different...He wants us to live a life of abundance and happiness. We just have to want it bad enough to let go of things and ppl that's not making our lives better. If God has put it on your heart to do something - maybe you're not quite sure what it is, but you just know its something thats within you - gently take His hand and let Him lead you. He is trustworthy and has only the very best for His children. LET GO AND LET GOD!!! Don't look back at the past - if He's telling you to leave it..Then leave it. He always has something better waiting for you. Trust God and put your faith in Him and what He has for You is for You. Often we think we know what we want and, "If we can just get it, we will be happy," but the truth is, only God knows where we will find true peace. As for me Im visualizing 2012 as a year of new beginnings ...Not looking back on the past...just lessons learned. My Life will only get better cause God is leading the way. I will not let anyone or anything stand in the way of my Faith or Happiness cause I'm on my way to do great things in the 2012 and ..... I'm Not Looking Back!!! |
